How Can severe Dizziness Along With Nausea Be Treated?

I m having severe dizzy spells. They have been going on for months. My primary doctor has tried to determine what s causing it. I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy on Nov 30 2016. There were some precancerous polyps and 2 small ulcers in lower esophagus. I m scheduled for a repeat colonoscopy in June 2017. My stomach is still bothering me. My diet is restricted to apple sauce, jello, etc for the past few days due to nausea, stomach ache, and vomiting bile. I m having more dizziness now than ever. Although the past 24 hours has been pretty intense N&V and dizzy spells are less frequent but more intense and there is a very loud ringing in my right ear. I have an appt on April 17th with ENT & Audiologist to address cause of dizziness. That s a week or more away. Do you have any suggestions for me while I m waiting for the specialist to help relieve the N&V and how do I handle the dizzy spells. They re intense.

Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, the cause needs to be addressed. Ear issues can cause it. Brain issues can cause it but generally the brain causes produce much worse problems and people can barely walk or hold things.

And there isn't ringing in the ear from brain causes in general. Antivert is good. If there is an ear infection that can be treated by a regular doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
